"I love the Amistad Caribbean Arts Camp. It’s not just a band. It’s more like a family. A family band. A place to come to learn different styles of music and the history behind it. The staff here gives the best advice and tips. They are so helpful and amazing! No matter how long you played for. There are endless things to learn and that is how I feel about this camp. This is my third year going and don’t regret it." - Crystal Reyes, ACAC Trumpet Student

"This year, my third year, Amistad Caribbean Arts Camp was fun and different. We had to be online instead of in person, which was weird. I learned how to play the conga with Ray, last year I played timbales, mostly. After learning about the steel pan from Mr. Dudack, I know it is what I want to learn to play next year. Visual Arts class was my favorite part of camp. The dancing was nice, but I don't dance. Camp is a great place to start for kids who want to play music." - Sir Majesty, ACAC Percussion Student

"The Amistad Caribbean Arts Camp has taught me how to work together in a band even if we’re virtual. I got so much better at playing the trumpet, and I learned so many different types of music. I love how they taught us how to dance Puerto Rican, Cuban, And African styles! Also, the teachers/ staff are very kind and help the students when they need it! I am so thankful to be part of the Amistad Caribbean Arts Camp!" - Aniyah Correa, ACAC Trumpet Student
